       Really not a good decision!

Open to interpretation for me but it’s about time this sort of
silliness was stopped. If you want the keeper to stay on his
line then it should be a straight run up.

If the goal was given, this is the correct decision

It was ruled out, can't quite believe how you can get this so
       wrong at that level.

Then yes, an incredibly poor decision and application of law
       from the referee!

Not too sure what’s open to interpretation, law is pretty clear
on this. And he’s clearly got it wrong.
But I will agree that I’d rather it had to be a straight run up

It’s probably the wrong decision to rule the goal out, but I
agree with mac’s point in terms of a law change.
Really simple, rather than not being allowed to stop, I think it
should be you’re not able to change speeds in my opinion. Let
them take 1 second or 10 seconds to run up to the ball if they
want but not slow down and speed up again.

       Isn’t the whole point of a run-up that you change speed;
starting from a standstill and building momentum into the
       strike?

I’m not suggesting IFAB use my exact wording! But i’m sure my
premise is pretty clear. If that’s too hard to define, then just
not being able to slow down would be fine too.

Slow the footage down, his left (non kicking) foot plants and
touches the ground again before his right foot kicks it. His
whole body comes to a stop for me.
The feinting when the general momentum of the run up continues
is different to this, in my opinion.
