Penalty should be overturned here given away by Cuenca… clearly
wins the ball.

Nor sure what the penalty was for, but there was pulling back.
FK outside the box. United then score!

If Brooks gave the penalty for the shirt pull then the VAR
process makes sense. But if he gave it for the tackle then he
probably should have been sent to the screen.

My friend who is a red was at the game today said it was the
best display he'd seen from a ref at OT this season, so sounds
like a good performance from Brooks who is turning into my
favourite ref

Just curious about the penalty awarded to Fulham for the foul by
Maguire. My initial reaction was that the contact from the
challenge was after the Fulham player got his shot away. Was
this the case? If it was, I thought there was a view expressed
a while back on here, after an incident when Foden was taken out
after a shot, that referees rarely give penalties in those
situations or take disciplinary action. Maybe the discussion
then was more about whether the late challenge on Foden amounted
to SFP. Sorry my memory is a bit vague on this.

I also noticed the same thing but it didn't seem to have been
brought up here. Maybe the guidance that penalties shouldn't be
given after a shot was taken as been removed? Eitherway I agree
with the decision to award the penalty.
