Massive game for Lewis Smith in the south coast derby… the
reverse fixture was handled by Donohue so that might lead us to
conclude that they are in prime place for the SG1 promotions
next season depending on how they go.
Ward with a tasty London derby and Madley in the FL.

Lewis Smith with back-to-back big local derbies and after a
season of not many high profile games he gets two big ones in
two weeks. I do wonder if Kitchen might’ve been pencilled in for
that one but he’s now 4O after a poor performance at Ipswich on
Saturday.
I don’t think Millwall fans will be happy with Gavin Ward after
his last trip to the den if my memory serves me well.
Tom Kirk gets a decent game on Monday night and Tom Nield for us
for the first time this season

Can't remember seeing him yet this season

I personally think they would’ve been considering both Kitchen
and Lewis Smith equally, and the performance had little if any
part to play in the appointment. Lewis Smith has already had a
derby this season (M69 Derby) and I think Kitchen would’ve also
been deserving of this game, but the reverse of this fixture has
already been replayed, so it would’ve been one or the other and
I think Kitchen is just as deserving as Lewis Smith.

I hope you didn’t think I was disrespectful of Andrew Kitchen
and his capabilities to referee such a fixture because I do
agree with you. The appointing officers probably were
considering both Lewis Smith and Andrew Kitchen and I wouldn’t
have been unhappy to see either on the game.
But I do believe appointments should be made on merit and who’s
in good from. Unfortunately from Kitchen’s perspective, he made
quite a few errors in our game on Saturday and things like this
should be taken into consideration when making appointments. In
no way at all was I questioning Kitchen’s ability to referee
this fixture, it’s just that when someone makes a couple of
errors like he did, he shouldn’t be in the middle of one of the
biggest fixtures the week after, that’s all.

Also I’ve just noticed that Mark Scholes has two AR appointments
in 3 days.
One at Middlesbrough on Saturday and then live on Monday night
at Norwich. Not sure that should be happening if I’m honest…

Little bit underwhelmed with Lewis Smith for the first league
derby at our place against them lot in 14 years. Thought it
might attract some royalty.
