Can we set up a petition to get rid of Chris Sutton?
I am of course referring to Everton's disallowed goal. He
clearly doesn't understand the LOTG which the referee's have to
apply. Unlucky as I believe Armstrong may well have had little
impact but he did deliberately make a play for the ball from an
offside position. Darren Cann agrees with me 100%. However
Sutton's comments make it difficult for referees, increasing the
pressure on them and pours further fuel on the flames of dissent
towards VAR.

For the record I think Harrington is having an excellent game
but an interesting offside decision in the first half caught my
interest.
Everton take a short corner and they eventually cross it into
the penalty area. At the time of the cross, Harrison Armstrong
is in an offside position and Jake O’Brien, the goalscorer is
onside. Armstrong jumps to play the ball, doesn’t touch it as it
goes over his head and O’Brien heads it in. AR Steve Meredith
gives the offside.
It’s one of those where I really need to hear the onfield
discussion between officials and what they communicated to the
VAR. If Meredith flagged O’Brien offside, then that is factually
wrong so Paul Howard on VAR should’ve recommended an OFR because
if they decide Armstrong is interfering then that is a
subjective call. I struggle to see how between Harrington and
Meredith they could’ve concluded that Armstrong was interfering
with play. If they did, then that is fair enough.
A really interesting decision that one.

I think Harrington has been very hit and miss today. For
example, how is Garner still on the pitch? On a yellow and
clearly pushes Rogers two handed in the back and Harrington
plays on.
A lot of fouls and he doesn’t seem to pull players aside to have
a quick word. It’s either nothing or a yellow card.
Just my thoughts.

Garner fortunate to still be on the field and Rohl’s challenge
on Maatsen warranted at least a yellow. Everything else has been
spot on - the offside goal definitely a good call

Sometimes people post at the same time, or start threads at the
same time or while 1 person is already typing out a post. It's
not a problem - one of the admin will always be along soon
enough to merge them & confuse everyone even more by doing so!

Not a bad performance but a few questionable moments.
Rohl should’ve definitely received at least a caution for his
challenge on Maatsen.
The challenge by Garner or Rogers, I do wonder if Harrington was
looking more at the legs of the players rather than the upper
body. It did look as if Garner got a bit of the ball but he also
did shove Rogers at the same time and that would’ve been a
second yellow. But Aston Villa only have themselves to look at
after tonight’s performance, they simply weren’t at the races.
Decent enough performance from Harrington.
