Not a red for me, and certainly not a clear and obvious error to
go with a caution. It was a glancing blow with very little
force, had it really planted into his leg then I would say red.

Not sure what Beswick was doing for the 2nd disallowed Utd goal
he kept his flag down when he was walking back to the halfway
line

The challenge makes Dokus leg buckle, I actually didn’t realise
that at the time. If there’s enough force to make it buckle,
there’s enough force for it to be a red.
Not that pundits are generally a good voice to listen to, the
fact that Keane thinks it was a red should maybe tell us
something. Mike Dean as well

The problem for me is you don't really see it real time, it only
looks bad when watched in slow motion and I would say that
challenges the clear and obvious criteria.

I think red is better but not a clear and obvious error to go
with yellow. The tackle is high but definitely no excessive
force

Well it’s lucky that VAR tend to watch everything in slow motion
then…….
If what you’re saying was correct, why do they put practically
every review into slow motion?

I’m really torn with this one and first let me say that if
Taylor had issued a red card on field, I don’t think it would’ve
been overturned anyway.
I actually agree with rustyref. Their description of the
incident was virtually the same when I was just talking to my
mate. Glancing blow with not a lot of force. With this incident,
I think we’re in real danger of slowing down too much and
looking at point of contact alone, rather than looking at the
whole challenge.
So for me, it lies more reckless than endangering the safety so
I’m happy enough with yellow. But I do reiterate that should
Taylor have given a red on field then that should’ve stood.
