Think Dalot is a very very lucky boy. I’m guessing it being a
glancing blow is what saved him

A clear red card missed by Taylor and VAR.

I think it should be a red card. High, late, at speed. Surely
it’s endangering Doku?

If it’s the 70th minute that’s a red card but because it’s early
it’s a different decision.
For all the talk of what football wants the thing everyone truly
wants is ignored rules consistently applied throughout the
entire game

Shocking decision not to red card Dalot.
Surely Taylor should have had least been sent to the screen to
look.
Not a good start to the weekends offerings.

City will be lucky to finish this game with any uninjured
players at this rate.

That’s a nailed on red all day and I am the red side of
Manchester. Unbelievable it’s not even gone for OFR.

It’s inexcusable to miss that. Compare that to a less serious
tackle in a “big game” when Caicedo was sent off against
Arsenal.
VAR is not fit for purpose.

As I said in initial post, only reason I can think of is them
deeming it as glancing contact. But agree with pretty much
everyone that it really should be a red.
I guess it’s a case of wanting to keep 22 players on the pitch
at all costs. Overseas leagues don’t seem to have this same
mindset…..
Caution missed for Mainoo there as well for me.

Not seen the challenge so I can’t comment on the tackle yet but
PL Match Centre says contact was ‘glancing and not excessive
force’.
