I think up until this point, Kavs been really good. But this VAR
       check……… 🫠

It was always going to be offside, I’m not sure why it took so
       long

I don’t care about the decision (which I think is wrong). The
time it took for that decision to be made was atrocious.

Chris Sutton does talk some absolute trash.
Haaland is clearly impacting the defender in getting to the ball
after Semenyo makes contact to flick it in..
Sutton seems to think that it’s the goalie who’s been impacted,
but Kavanagh clearly announces the defender was impacted.
I think it’s the right decision, and Haaland is clearly offside.
That was a really tricky situation as well for Attwell and
       Taylor.

I think he’s had better games. Cards should have come out sooner
       certainly for Bernardo Silva..
That offside is a nonsense. Pope’s had a shocker and the ball
has gone in before the defender could possibly react. Perfect
example of why I believe a challenge system would be worth a
try, nobody saw an offside in there, not even the player
       supposedly impacted

He’s had no control whatsoever. Joelinton lucky to be on the
pitch. Bernardo silva with 2 poor tackles as well and then
getting in Kavanagh’z ear but that’s typical guardiola
behaviour. Numerous times clear holding in the box completely
       ignored.
The var check is a joke, pope is in no man’s land so not offside
       for me

       An utterly astonishing VAR intervention.
That’s just never offside, the keeper is jumping the other way,
Haaland hasn’t attempted to play it, not a chance the defender
       can block it.
Compare that to the Ouattara offside for Brentford earlier this
season which the VAR did not even consider and yet again the
system and the decisions being made are simply not fit for
       purpose.

The commentators mentioned it was the goalkeeper that was
impacted. I don’t think it was. I think it was the Newcastle
       defender (Thiaw, I think?)
But completely agree on how long it took. All comes back to the
‘C&O’ that VAR was supposedly brought in for. That was in no way
clearly or obviously wrong. As I said in a thread the other day,
not all offside decisions are black & white, as someone said the
       other day.

Offside and Kavanagh clearly says that “Man City no 9 is in an
offside position as he is impeding the Newcastle defender”
People mightn’t like it but for me it’s the correct decision.
