Well done Hooper, following the steps of Tom Kirk, giving a
second yellow for dissent by Lacey.
Think Hooper’s been good throughout.

Yep, a nice little learning curve for Lacey there…
Good quality offerings from Hooper this afternoon…. Proving why
he has been given some decent high profile matches in the past.

I've seen a lot worse dissent go unpunished so the consistency
isn't great from that perspective but it is a 2nd yellow on it's
own. I just wish Referees would punish it more which is where
the frustration comes from as a player will do that in the
future and not get booked.

Another correct 2nd yellow, as has already been said let’s hope
punishing this becomes the norm

I think that could have been managed without a booking in all
honesty. It’s not a blatant dissent for me, he’s frustrated at
the decision but hasn’t delayed a restart or aimed anything at a
match official. I think a final warning would have been more
beneficial both for Hooper and Lacey (unless there is another
angle showing he threw the ball towards the AR, then I’ll take
back what I’ve said)

You can’t throw a ball away in frustration off the back of a
decision that hasn’t gone your way. That’s clearly dissent by
action. It’s a yellow card.

He recieved the first yellow in the 87th minute and his second
in the 89th for a needless show of dissent.
I thought that he was a little unfortunate with the first
caution, however, having been cautioned he was very silly to
show petulance over a nothing decision in the way he did for the
second yellow. Correct decision by Simon Hooper.

Excellent as usual by Hooper and as the commentators said over
the weekend referees have smiled and enjoyed themselves without
VAR I would say there has been very little if any controversy (
except John brooks penalty decision ) in the weekends FA Cup
matches

Having now seen the actual broadcast rather than a small clip I
do agree with the yellow card. Still, I’m okay with players
showing frustration on the field and don’t think it necessarily
HAS to be considered dissent, Lacey has just overstepped a line.
