He'll be even more upset if he sees Joelinton raging at the
referee after being carded then getting away with it.

I have been trying to find out the basis of Keane's red card.
It's in the Premier League's guidance as to what actions
constitute violent conduct.
"A player who is not challenging for the ball will be sent off
if they:
make a clear action to pull the hair of an opponent or any other
person with force"
What confuses me is that Keane was challenging for the ball. The
precedent for a RC is therefore set but only if not challenging
for the ball! I note though that a player can be sent off for
for VC when challenging for the ball.
I also note that the force used by Keane was enough to pull the
Wolves player's head back and it is for this reason that hair
pulling is outlawed.

Think of it this way; if Keane jumped up as he does and punched
the opposition player in the kidney area, what would you class
this as?

Sorry I just don’t buy any of this “accidental” that’s being
reported in the media. How do you accidentally pull an opponents
hair? I know it’s been a while since I played but I don’t recall
accidentally pulling anyone’s hair (or deliberately - to be
clear).
Absolute rubbish. He knew what he was doing there. You could
argue whether aggressive or violent. But it certainly wasn’t a
complete accident.
I’m not saying it was premeditated and especially violent but it
was unnecessary. And by definition that the referee has, it’s
defined violent conduct, the red card is avoidable.
That said, Kirk is probably almost wishing VAR didn’t spot it.
The intervention probably caused more aggro than had it just
been missed. But that’s no reason to ignore it if spotted.
