Another masterclass from Gillett today, much like his previous
game at the SoL.
Hasn’t got a thing wrong this afternoon and has been in complete
control.
Certainly deserves a massive game soon as he is on top form at
the moment.
James Bell has been very efficient in VAR too….

Superb again from gillett. With Liverpool not in title race he
should defo be getting a big one or 2 in the run in.
I love his threshold for a free kick.

An easy game to referee not the Derby it once was which is a

His fitness is absolutely incredible. Even in those final
minutes when you think you're getting tired, he was on top of
things. impressive once again.

Must say I like Gillett's style and the fact he is not afraid to
smile occasionally.
He handled the game very well, but what a contrast though with
those feisty games between the 2 clubs in the 60's and into the
70's when the likes of Jack Taylor had to control proceedings.
There seemed genuine respect between the players at the end
yesterday with plenty of friendly chat and handshakes.

Vintage masterclass from Referee Gillett who yet again shows
absolute class in his way of refereeing. Makes it look simple.

Dick Windle (Chesterfield) refereed a cup semi final between the
two clubs, I think in 1965. A gas mark 8 sort of game!
In the replay at the City Ground, Dick was more on top of
things, but received a thump in the mouth leaving the field from
an encroaching spectator!
Them's the days !

I would like to see more of him. Wasted imho on FIFA VAR duties
for which I suspect he is well suited.

Ref Cam footage and audio from the match. I have to say his
comms sounds very good.
I'm enjoying the refcams, Oliver's one from last week was also a
good watch and I believe we are getting more after the FA Cup, a
good addition for me.
