That’s now two high profile goofs that Salisbury has made this
season.
Salisbury is a UEFA VAR official and really shouldn’t be making
these elementary errors whilst at Shockley Park.

Blatant penalty - Barry gets ball first and defender (albeit
accidentally) kicks through the back of his leg. Clear as day
and VAR should clearly help him out.
Handball should be spotted on field and why it took longer than
ten seconds to give (bar checking an offside??) is a mystery.

As an Arsenal fan, totally agree that Everton should have had a
penalty. Can't see any justification for that not being a clear
and obvious error. Having said that, always nice to be on the
receiving end of a VAR error every now and again. [emoji6]

Just catching up on here, was a poor game again from Barrott who
is struggling again, maybe his 3/4th rut in the PL so far.
He needs to be more authoritative on the field of play, and not
be scared to make big decisions … he was having a good mid
season last year he needs to re discover that form, because at
the moment he is badly out of form.
I’m a Arsenal fan and we were lucky to escape a penalty and a
red card

Surely the fact that the "panel" voted 3-2 on it being a penalty
and also 3-2 on a VAR intervention makes the point that it was
not a "clear and obvious" error??

But the key point is like a judge and jury - the jury have voted
referee Barrott WRONG ! How many more mistakes are we to allow
him ?? His operating on one or the best leagues in this world,
so to be in privilege of this honour of being a PL referee means
he should be judged and called out when making mistakes.
IMO similar in o Attwell many years ago his been pushed far too
quickly

No because judges are fully qualified in the laws of the land
and they guide the jury on those laws. Whereas 60% of this
review panel have zero qualifications in the laws of football,
they are ex-players or managers and we know from experience just
how wrong they can be when commenting on decisions. When it is
a 3:2 judgement on the decision being wrong I would always
assume the 2 are made up of the PGMOL and EPL representatives.
Said it before but these reviews are pointless, it is akin to
dragging a bunch of people off the street outside a court and
asking them to be the judges on a criminal case, it just
wouldn't happen.

... and no jury could convict or acquit on a 3-2 split. It
would result in a re-trail.
