Not quite sure why KD needs 2 games, especially as both involve
Ireland
Paul Williams absence is unfortunate as I rate him
Good to see debuts in Davidson and Ramos
England get a mixed bag - hopefully Brousset continues to
improve, as with Piradi
Nika in Edinburgh will be a good test and pleased we have Berry
in France
Otherwise it's keep your whistle warm - Scotland have some very
good referees in their games

Totally agree. World Rugby seem to have a thing about Dickson
and keep pushing him but I find his decision making random and
consider Pearce and Ridley both better referees. No need for 2
games
The omission of Williams is worrying unless this is for personal
reasons. A good ref and far better than Doleman in my opinion.
Is it maybe that WR are looking ahead to 2027 and gradually
“dropping” some of their 2023 cohort? Hope not as he is one of
the better refs

A brief comment on 1st Weekend
Thursday night in Paris - first half I felt KD was pretty good,
France made it easy winning quick ball and moving it away from
breakdowns. As the game got "tighter" and more competitive the
more KD became dependent on his team, which if unsighted is
fine, but I felt there were too many delays checking minutiae,
which should have been seen on field
BoK had the archetypal curates egg - poor conditions, lots of
handling errors, many times players ending up on wrong side as a
result of slipping or sliding, when to penalise and when to try
and squeeze some rugby out. I felt he got most things right.
Never a game where the officials were going to shine but in
close matches, you have to be accurate/consistent and I thought
he managed that
Brousset is not my favourite ref yet fair play to him I felt his
decision making was good, his punishments consistent and once
he'd warned teams, he followed through (even if it was sin
binning the Lions captain after less than 30 seconds on the
field). No one could argue they didn't know where they stood and
there wasn't so much of the random decision making he has
demonstrated before. Well supported by a good team - Trianini is
becoming a very good TMO. In a one sided contest it would be
easy to stop penalising the weaker side but this was not evident
and PB walks away with a lot of credit

For me genge is a very lucky man. Another ref prib gives red
rhere and rightly so imo.
Although you could say Welsh plaued may have too for
retaliation.
Tbought Frances second try was forward but otherwise decent by
Dickson

Pierre Brousset has had to replace Andrea Piardi in the England
vs Ireland game as a result of an injury mid match. Craig
Maxwell-Keys now running the line in place of Pierre Brousset.

Neither combination of referees contributed to the shower of
English sh*te that was on view today. In fact Piradi got a
bigger round of applause than most in white shirts!!

As Irish fan it was a great sight in twickenham apart from
piardi unfortunate injury. Hopefully not too serious although
didn’t look great.
Carley was fairly avg in the principality

An observer once said to me "you see too much";
Things that aren't necessarily wrong but not expected by anyone
else- this is my feeling of Matt Carley - he finds reasons to
stop games, rather than reasons to keep it going
