Love how quick he was at the monitor before making his decision.
Watched it once, maybe twice, decision made.

I think when a referee only needs to look at it once or twice,
it says to the fans that the decision is clear and obvious.
If it’s clear and obvious then referees shouldn’t need to watch
20 replays.

Agreed. Which is where the entire principal of VAR falls apart

A rather unusual performance from Turpin tonight. Inconsistent
across the board.
Foden, O'Reilly & B Silva all correctly cautioned, but nothing
for the foul from Rudiger when already on a YC?
General foul detection across the board has been hit and miss
too with inconsistencies.
Not his usual best, imo.

I think Turpin has been off the boil in recent games, which is
very unusual.
Nothing catastrophic tonight but a little wayward, particularly
when there was a very late challenge by a Real Madrid player on
Doku.
Played advantage, but then inexplicably didn’t card the
challenge after the ball went out.
Rudiger could have easily gone for two yellows too.

Definitely not his best night.missed a couple clear spa. Rudiger
should have got 2YC.
Penalty prob should have been spotted live too but very good
from brisard with that and the extremely wuick intervention for
foul outside box.
Even after all that,he did keep control and that’s prob what
rosetti cares most about in these
games🤷‍♂️
Agree with previous comments that he’s not been his usual self
recently..hopefully regains form soon
