Stress free evening for Harrington and team.
Got the penalty shout on Merino spot on for me. Attacker left
his foot in to initiate the contact.
Missed a couple and got the odd wrong one but who doesn’t. There
are loads of decisions to make in a football match and very
rarely can a referee get every one correct.
Another very good performance from Harrington.

Tony Harrington again having a very solid, sound season. I like
his style as a referee, stays out of the limelight but not
afraid to make the big decisions (the yellow card for simulation
for a Nottingham Forest player this term being a good example).
His red card for the Everton player the other week for striking
his teammate, excellent call, as I say, doesn’t shirk the big
calls but makes them confidently and without fear or favour.
His decision for the Arsenal no penalty, again excellent. The
Arsenal player initiated the contact and looked for the
decision. Harrington indicated no penalty with a clear,
confident scissors style gesture.
Tony Harrington I think should get more higher profile games as
he is performing very well this season. He has had problems with
injury but I think he deserves a good run of matches.
Good work once again.

Thought he could have cautioned Merino for simulation in the
penalty incident, but otherwise it was a solid display in a
routine match.
