Outstanding first 36 minutes. Then a poor decision for the red.
Should be seeing that on field.
WILL SOMEONE HAVE SOME BOTTLE AND DEAL WITH ARTETA. His antics
are disgraceful, he even squared up to the 4th official. It’s
every week

Have to admit, I’m normally very critical of PGMOL officials
when it comes to detecting SFP. I don’t think they tend to be
very good at it. But in the instance of this one, I can
completely understand how he went yellow first.
At first glance, it looks reckless. Add to that the lack of
reaction, makes it seem even more reckless. But once you see
replay, there’s something more to it……

I’m not sticking up for Caicedo here because I do think it’s a
red card. I think some Chelsea fans may point to Bentancur’s
challenge on James in the Spurs v Chelsea game about a month ago
which was only punished with a yellow card. So I could
understand if any Chelsea fans felt aggrieved.
However I do think the small difference is that Caicedo made
initial contact higher up than Bentancur did. That’s just my
opinion and obviously every VAR decision is subjective.

I have to say the behaviour of the players has been appalling in
this game.
All this rolling around on the floor has been very unsavoury and
Taylor hasn’t fallen for any of it so far.

I think this is probably a prime example of what I said above; I
don’t think PGMOL officials are particularly great at detecting
SFP. They do their absolute utmost to keep it 11v11- which is
very noble, but sometimes challenges like the 2 in question here
cannot allow it.

Call it what it is: cheating. Trying to deceive match officials
and get opponents punished or like Manchester City yesterday
deliberately stopping play for phantom injury to allow coaching.
Terrible.

Taylor was outstanding in a tricky contest to officiate. All of
the YC’s were correct and good awareness from John Brooks to
correctly recommend an OFR review.
Terrible behaviour from the players. Absolutely shocking to
watch.
I can’t praise Taylor enough really for what he had to contend
with today. If players want to push the rules to the limit, then
the referee has to punish strongly and Taylor had to do that
today. Our best official by far at the moment.

I’ve not seen a freeze frame yet, but if Enzo is in an offside
position for the Chelsea goal; is anyone chalking it off for
interfering?
