hi,
first time MO has been back in the middle for an arsenal match
since the lewis-skelly incident at wolves - let's hope all goes
smoothly today [emoji6]

Romero taking his allowance to talk to the referee as captain to
the extreme. Goes running up to Oliver and basically makes
physical contact with him after the award of a free kick. I
think should’ve been a YC for dissent.

I just don't understand anymore, surely that had to be offside
for Arsenal's second goal? It ticks all the same boxes that
Robertson's did.
Howard Webb went out and backed the decision at the Etihad 2
weeks ago, so surely.that makes today's one wrong?

That’s definitely more of an offence than Robertson’s
considering Trossard was directly in front of the keeper, and
the fact he was quite close to saving it even with his view
obstructed.

I take your point. It’s a reasonable one. All I can come up with
is the weight of the onfield decision.
The game at the Ethiad, the onfield decision was offside.
Yesterday at Anfield, the onfield decision was goal.
Today, the onfield decision is goal.
Howard Webb didn’t back the decision to say it was definitively
correct. He said it was ‘reasonable’ to disallow the goal. That
suggests to me, he would stick with the onfield decision.
Whether that should be the case, thats up for debate. But I can
understand frustration from inconsistency, especially from
Liverpool fans

Anyway, I think Michael Oliver has been top class. Always in
control, making it look effortless.

hi,
as others have said, wouldn't have been surprised if the 2nd
goal had been disallowed, but i'm happy to go with the onfield
decision [emoji3]

Agreed Attwell has missed an opportunity for an OFR for second
goal, however, Oliver and on field team have been epic today.
Exactly how it’s done.

Absolutely top notch from Oliver. No Arsenal fans can have any
complaints whatsoever.
Exactly how a derby should be officiated. Well done 👏
