Ireland 8 playing him onside. His shoulder was closer so on
first glance he looks offside but Ireland 8 foot was further
       forward than anyone’s shoulder

Just goes to show how hard offside is to judge, from the tv
angle and the angles they showed at the time I posted that
everything the eye can see says offside, it also shows how tv
       can shape things.

Also a reminder as to why it might be difficult for VAR as well
at times. Those TV angles are what they have to look at and try
and get the lines drawn from the best angle available. I know we
have SAOT now but that is equally as limited with angles and can
fail if there are too many bodies in the image. Something we
could all maybe do with remembering at times as we sit there
tapping our feet and sighing with frustration as they take
'forever' to analyse all the footage!

       Good news for Kovacs though!

Hungary & Romania both boycotting - not that either were ever
likely to reach the final but...

Why was there no goal line technology for such a big game?

We don't have it in Hungary.
