This is also his debut in the EFL (not including the vertu
trophy). With 8000+ expected to attend, this will be a big game
for him.

Six pointer at the bottom of div2 surely deserves a calm
experienced hand. Is it really his first EFL match ?

Yes it is his first EFL middle. He has refereed some Vertu cup
games. I watched him referee Port Vale v Leeds U21, which had 7
yellows and at times he looked a bit like a fish out of water.
But, good luck to him today.
I’ll be watching Jacob Miles normally a safe pair of hands.

Watching Ricardo’s game.. Busy half for him with 3 penalty
shouts, 2 not given to Orient and 1 awarded to Exeter. The first
would have been as blatant as they come (AR2 flagged for it) but
Ricardo ruled a foul on the player who handled the ball, all
three were supportable decisions in my view. Also some good
management skills with 2 cautions for dissent, and 2 for SPA.

Port Vale V Wycombe Wanderers
Jacob Miles
In a game where Wycombe dominated and should have won
convincingly. But somehow the game was a draw and goalless.
I thought Jacob Miles was okay. A little inconsistent with his
foul recognition and seemed to let a bit of shirt pulling go. I
thought all the cautions were correct and you cannot question
his fitness levels as he moves around the pitch with ease.

I wasn't at Prenton Park today, but it sounded like Oliver
Langford had a decent game as he returns to match fitness, tried
to let the game flow and even engaged in a spot of pre-match
banter.

Aaron Farmer - Oldham v Crewe
For an EFL debut, I thought this was a very pleasing performance
from Aaron infront of 8900 fans, including 1300 visiting
supporters. I feared things might’ve got a bit hairy late first
half with a few challenges going in and not producing a caution,
but luckily he didn’t lose control. AR2 disallowed a Crewe goal
in the second half for offside to which I think was based off
replays. I will be happy to see Aaron on a future game of
Crewe’s because today I was impressed.
How that game ended a draw I don’t know… Oldham would’ve been
blowing a sigh of relief! We should’ve been 4-0 up after 20 mins
easily…. Once again our finishing costs us.

Not convinced with the award of a penalty kick as does not
appear to be any contact with the attacking player.
