       C KAVANAGH - Man City v Liverpool

Good VAR intervention by Oliver to give the penalty to Man City.
Looked a penalty in real time but the contact wasn’t as heavy as
I thought it looked on the tv. Clearly Kavanagh wasn’t sure.
Haaland is human after all in missing the penalty…

Didn't look like Robertson was in the GK eyeline there, would
       say it's harsh to disallow.

I really don’t think that Robertson has had any part in
interfering (Van Dijk disallowed goal) with the dive of
Donnarumma, and I entirely agree (for once) with Gary Neville.
Unfortunately, the law states it has to be ruled out…
We had a similar incident a few years ago at City when Ake was
standing in front of Leno and the goal was allowed by Oliver and
       Harrington..

       That’s never Robertson interfering imo.
       Liverpool right to be aggrieved

As a subjective decision should it not be OFR?

But the Sunderland's goal at Chelsea was allowed! On field
decision in that one was goal so different in that sense but as
I wrote at the time, if a player is in an offside position in
between the posts, he is interfering with play. Removes doubt.
If a forward scores a goal but I the process the ball hits his
arm, it is automatically disallowed regardless.
Or we get rid of that handball rule and use VAR to assess
whether the offside player impeded the goalkeeper.
       Liverpool are poor so far.

Was given offside onfield. That was backed up by Oliver so no
       OFR required

Nothing wrong with the Liverpool goal IMO. Didn’t impact on the
keeper at all and Robertson wasn’t trying to play the ball.
Clear difference between that and Ouattara on the Mic’d Up show
who did try to play the ball and the VAR didn’t even look at the
       offside offence!
       It’s a shambles all around.

Robertson was far less interfering than Ouattara was when
       Brentford equalised against Chelsea.
Robertson wasn’t trying to play the ball and for me wasn’t
interfering. Neither was the Sunderland player IMO. I’d allow
       both of those goals.
Ouattara absolutely tried to play the ball and was interfering
but the most shocking thing was that the VAR didn’t even review
it. He simply ignored it. And Webb glossed over that on the
       Mic’d Up show.
