K STROUD - Brentford v Leeds

Earlier we had Webb award a penalty for a clean tackle at Derby,
and now a Stroud has 'finger wagged' away whilst saying 'no
chance' from a stonewall foul by Jeanvier on Bamford.
He had a clear view on it and decided astonishingly it was no
penalty.
Absolute rubbish from Stroud.

Shocking decision for me. As you say he had a clear line of
sight, so absolutely no excuse to miss that one imho.

Bielsa is a decent, humble guy and will never have a go at the
referee. Just one of the reasons he's so highly thought of.

What happens when you put a poor official in charge of a big
game. Stroud should not be officiating at this level. Clearest
penalty decision he has ever had to give its either complete
incompetence or????

I've not seen it, but heard mention of Mr Stroud missing an
infringement in one of the Swansea goals in their 4-3 win over
Rotherham last Friday.

Stroud was a late replacement too. James Linington was
originally due to referee but had to pull out after injuring a
hamstring last week.

The incident in the Swansea match was a potential handball in a
crowded penalty area. Wasn't picked up by the TV cameras and
would have been impossible for the assistant to see. Couldn't
see Stroud's positioning. The Rotherham players were incensed
but suspect Stroud would have been guessing based on their
reaction so couldn't give it.

'No chance'? An incredibly poor decision from a referee who
wasn't good enough for the Premier League and now scarcely seems
good enough for the Championship some days.

I never understood how he made the Select Group in the first
place. At least they weeded him out of SG1 but why should he be
inflicted on the Championship?
