Correct VAR intervention for the Kevin tackle on Saka… clearly
wins the ball and finally a VAR decision goes our way!

I’m probably in the minority here - didn’t think it was a clear
and obvious error.
When Webb said that a touch on the ball doesn’t negate that a
foul has been committed, he’s clearly changed his mind on that.
I mean if Taylor said he saw no touch on the ball then there’s
clear evidence to say he got that but wrong but I’m not sure
it’s clear enough to overturn the foul - still think there’s
knee to knee contact simultaneously with the slither of a touch
on the ball.

The statement on X worries me in so far as it implies that
playing the ball and then taking the man out isn't a foul.
Surely if the defender gets a small touch first and then takes
the attacker out who would still have a reasonable chance of
continuing, that is a foul.
In this case enough of a touch was made by the defender and
Sakha was not prevented from immediately controlling the ball.
So I agree VAR got it right but there will be many confused by
the outcome.

didn't think it was a penalty in real time and more apparent
when slowed down - good VAR intervention by SA [emoji4]
not really an overly physical contest but always refreshing to
get through 90 mins (or in this case 105 mins) with no cards -
well done AT and team [emoji106]

No yellow cards as he stitched them all together to make a paper
shirt for himself and his team.
Good var intervention to overturn the penalty awarded.

I have not seen the statement either but the less educated will
take that as a green light to take "man and ball" with a much
force as they want.
The Fulham player got a scratch on the ball with the studs on
the bottom of his boots. No player means to play the ball in
these circumstances with his studs. He was not able to play the
ball "normally" because he was at full stretch and there was an
opponent in the way. He only got a touch by good fortune. This
one - for me - should have been referees' call.

Good performance easy game for him. But terrible decision for
penalty and correctly bailed out
