As mentioned great to see Brooks back, and Tierney close to
being back to where he should be.
Think Dallison made his debut towards end of last season.
Seems to be more games with two main VARs being on the same
game. I wonder if this will be a policy going forward, rather
than a VAR and an “assistant”.

They seem to be doing a lot of mis-matching this season with VAR
Teams. Some with 2 referees, some with 2 assistants, some with
the usual 1 referee 1 assistant. Maybe it’s because of the 2 SG1
ARs with Tim in the EFL, Robathan injured, etc etc. It confuses
me and makes it hard to do VAR PAR but I try my best!
I did see Kitchen and Barrott get a game or two on VAR in the
cup towards the end of last season, I wonder if we will see them
on VAR sometime soon.
Hooper & Bond used to get the odd VAR game too.

Years gone by, SG1 Referees were the main VAR but this has
changed since last season. Any official can be appointed to VAR
and AVAR duty on any given match.

Quite a big TV game for SG2 AR Dallison. No surprise that Oliver
and Kavanagh have the weekend off in the middle for the first
time this season, especially since they both have CL games this
midweek.

True but Oliver will have to remain on the naughty step for
another week after last saturdays transgression lol

Gillett going to have a very busy week….
Ref Arsenal Newcastle last Sunday
Var champions league Tuesday and Wednesday
Var Europa league Thursday
Var Saturday
Ref sunday
Surely that’s way too much in one week for one person…and defo
not the norm to have 3 uefa games as main var in a row…really
lost faith in atwell

soon.

The appointment schedule for Jarred Gillette shows no regard
whatsoever to his mental well-being or indeed his private life
and shows that it is not just PGMOL who are clueless when it
comes to the appointment of match officials.Whilst it is totally
acceptable for a match official to officiate at any appointed
stadium they should consider everything before making idiotic
appointments especially mid-week or when “doubling up”….how can
an official be 100% prepared for their fixture if they have
carried out other duties the day /night before and then
travelled to their next destination? This needs to change as it
clearly shows no professionalism by a company that calls
themselves Professional.

I would assume Gillett is in one location for all of his UEFA
VAR fixtures (is it Switzerland they go to if they have multiple
fixtures?), but the point still stands that it is a ridiculous
work load in one week, even worse than Kavanagh's busy weeks at
the start of the season.

Well you and bmb must be pleased to be proved wrong and the
lovely colour of blue is being worn by Hooper instead.
