I'm looking forward to Nemesis's reaction.

Slightly surprised but no more. I've long since given up
expecting appointments to be made relative to performances.
Twice I've seen him this season; both fell short of decent games
I'd seen him have in the past. One he blew too much, the other
too little. Get the balance right and there's probably a decent
ref there as his general control and manner seem good.

I know they are giving the likes of Kitchen games and injuries
to brooks, Bond and Tierney but going back to last season and so
far this season Jones , Pawson and Madley seem to struggle to
get back to back PL middles . The latter understandably so as
his performances don’t merit a successive game thus far but they
all used to be up there with Taylor Oliver and Kavs it would
suggest they have fallen out of favour , Bankes is getting
plenty of games and rightly so

Is this the first time we have had both VAR and AVAR for a game
be from outside of SG1?
Brentford vs Man City - Howard & Chilowicz are not from SG1 or
even SG2

I guess it was inevitable Kitchen would be on a Burnley game
much to the delight of their fans. He seems to have a liking for
refereeing teams in claret n blue.
Big Bird may appear at Dean Court this coming weekend.

I’m not surprised you are immune to appointments being made
irrespective of performance. That said, Salisbury and Jones were
hooked pretty quickly following the VAR shambles at Chelsea.
However, years of watching Kettle ruining matches for fun does
have that effect on most folk, so it’s very understandable.

Good to see tierney on a league 1 game this week aswel as his
first prem appointment as 4O in a long time…must have been an
awful injury. Hopefully he’s fully over it now

Great to see Kitchen in the PL fold - also, is that a debut for
Andrew Dallison on the line?

He was involved with Wolves vs Brentford on the last game of the
24/25 season! No idea if that was his debut but it was a game he
did, I had a sneaky look at the final match thread from last
season as I knew a few SG2 ARs would be on there, and indeed he
was!

As mentioned great to see Brooks back, and Tierney close to
being back to where he should be.
Think Dallison made his debut towards end of last season.
Seems to be more games with two main VARs being on the same
game. I wonder if this will be a policy going forward, rather
than a VAR and an “assistant”.

They seem to be doing a lot of mis-matching this season with VAR
Teams. Some with 2 referees, some with 2 assistants, some with
the usual 1 referee 1 assistant. Maybe it’s because of the 2 SG1
ARs with Tim in the EFL, Robathan injured, etc etc. It confuses
me and makes it hard to do VAR PAR but I try my best!
I did see Kitchen and Barrott get a game or two on VAR in the
cup towards the end of last season, I wonder if we will see them
on VAR sometime soon.
Hooper & Bond used to get the odd VAR game too.
