Hi all
Real Madrid v Marseille
Any comments on the dismissal of Real's Carvahal?
Though it might be said being amongst the players led to needing
a VAR intervention, I could not help be impressed by the
compassion Mr Peljto showed in dismissing the player.
The player's own fault to be sent off, but a very human touch,
and something to have gained respect all around.

I agree, didn’t see the full match but felt Peljto handled that
situation very well. Not only in calming the player being sent
off, but also in reducing any possibility of a mini melee and
mobbing by players we see all too often. Clever refereeing and
very well executed.
I really like this guy every time I see him. I think he will be
a top UEFA official competing for the UCL final in the next few
years.

That said, I don’t like the second Madrid penalty being given as
a handball - really would not go down well in the premier league
