Think he was a mid-season Step 2 > NGR promotion last year, so
not many games under his belt at this level as of yet

Accrington Stanley FC (First Team) v Colchester United FC (First
Team) Live on SkySports+
Football League 2
Referee: Coy, Martin
Assistant Referee: Gough, Callum
Assistant Referee: Hodskinson, Paul
Fourth Official: Mcquillan, Matthew
Not the best display from Martin today in the lunchtime kickoff.
I thought his cautions were well awarded and communication with
players looked to be pretty good. I just felt he was a little
whistle happy generally, it felt a very stop start game - not
all Martin’s fault by any means but a few I thought he could
have let go. He could have sped up Accrington a bit, but not
too bad. He did miss at least one occasion where an Accrington
player should have got booked for delaying the restart.
We had 3 incidents of possible serious foul play, 2 of which
close by to AR2. The second of these, the one that was given a
red card was absolutely correct, an awful high tackle on the
goalkeeper. However the one in the first half, a foul by Araujo
on Bauress should have been a red card for me. Martin and Paul
Hodskinson consulted and came to an incorrect verdict of yellow
card I believe. I think it’s possible Martin didn’t see it, as
he delayed whistling and didn’t seem to be too confident as to
what had happened.
There was also a scuffle in the box where Williams was booked,
he was really fired up and a harsher referee may have shown a
red card there, but a yellow for him and Love wasn’t an bad
decision.
On another day, Colchester could have ended with 8 men, but we
needed at least 15 to get anything out of that game. I feel for
our travelling 200 fans up to Lancashire for a 12:30 kick off,
they were really let down by my team’s performance.

Bradford City FC (First Team) v Huddersfield Town FC (First
Team) Live on SkySports+
Football League 1
Referee: Oldham, Scott
Assistant Referee: Durnall, Steve
Assistant Referee: McKittrick, Harley
Fourth Official: Watson, Dean
Scott Oldham had a sticky first 10 minutes - a wrong corner, a
missed foul on the keeper, and a missed advantage all in favour
of Huddersfield. I wasn’t too happy😅
Otherwise, a very good display in the game that means the most
to both fanbases. Huddersfield lost the plot a bit in the second
half and rightly picked up a total of 5 yellows (4 for reckless,
1 SPA). Nothing much else to report. A one sided affair and
probably a much easier afternoon than the officials were
expecting.

Ollie Yates had an incident packed game at Luton today. Red
cards, penalties, simulation calls and just a bit of everything.
And the 5 goals to top it all off.

Nice to see the circular red card in use though by Martin Coy!

Crewe v Barnet - Declan Bourne.
Apparently you’re allowed to headlock strikers now! According to
Declan and AR1 you’re allowed to! The amount of times that our
strikers shirt was being ripped off him and nothing was being
given was absolutely absurd. If you want his shirt then you can
have it after the game! First KMI of the game came after our
attacker got pulled back at the back post. I can understand why
Declan didn’t see this as he was looking through a crowd of
players, but no excuses for AR1 Mark Cunliffe who would’ve had a
clear sight of it. If this was given, it would’ve been a penalty
and red card. Crewe got given two penalties, and both were
missed! The second penalty was very very soft with the Barnet
defender applying he dived. You cannot really tell on the
highlights. However, we should’ve had at least one more pen for
handball in the box. Everyone erupted at this and I had a clear
view of it - I said handball immediately. Throughout the whole
game, Declan frustrated everyone in the crowd with him and his
team being booed off at half time. He was very inconsistent with
his foul detection as you didn’t know what was going to be
given.
If this was a bad day in the office, then it was a really bad
one. However, I’ve never been too impressed when I’ve seen him
ref myself. He was very whistle happy and was fussy to where he
wanted free kicks etc to be taken. To add some positives, he
added the time back second half for Barnet’s tactics and the
amount of stoppages we had.

I would agree with your comments, his main concern was having
free-kicks taken from the correct blade of grass, overall he was
very inconsistent in recognising shirt pulling and in
recognising fouls, some he gave and others he just let go, how
the Assistant on the stand side didn't see the incident when
the Crewe player was held by his shirt as he went to head the
ball in the first half in the penalty area.. I thought the ref
was inconsistent for both teams and overall about the usual
standard, which must be a concern as thou the referee's are fit
they don't have enough experience before being promoted.

game at Crewe v Barnet than last weekend at Sunthorpe. I won't
unfortunately be there this time. And talking of Scunthorpe and
controversy, I'm sure Ross Joyce will be hoping that Scunnies
top of the table game at Forest Green doesn't come to a
premature end for the third time in succession.

He gave a penalty for a clear dive. Not to worry the Ipswich
loanee in goal saved it, just as he'd saved an earlier
legitimate penalty. Another budding Paul Cooper ?

Fairly uneventful game for Niall smith at Wealdstone on Saturday
couple of yellows tried to let the game flow as much as possible
decent upcoming referee

“Applied that he dived” well according to the FA the Crewe
player did and he has been banned for 2 games for simulation.
