Call me old fashioned but a referee should wear black unless one
of the teams has a black kit or would be a slight clash

You might be old fashioned, but that does not make you wrong.
We can also discount the goal-keeper's shirt colour from the
calculations. There is 0.01% chance of the two goal-keepers
being in close proximity during a game and any player who
mistakes the referee for their goal-keeper really needs a trip
to Specsavers!
Also fewer coloured referee's shirts cuts down on clothing waste
(a problem in respect of global warming) and also cuts down on
comments on this site that have 0.00% to do with refereeing
performances (It was funny once, just tiresome and repetitive
now).

Looks like this afternoons offerings and the “safety first”
approach has gone very smoothly for Webb.
Gillett was the main taking point yesterday, and Bankes seemed
to have a difficult afternoon.
Other than that.. seems to have been a more stable weekend.

Good to see Paul Tierney back on the field again. It’s been a
long time since he’s been the man in the middle
[/quote]
I wonder if we won’t see him on a PL middle until the new year..
I’m sure he will want to have a good spread of EFL games,
possibly in L1 and L2 to gain some momentum back.
Might even see him at Crewe for our esteemed reporters from that
neck of the woods.

Would love to see him at Ipswich! Whack him on the East Anglian
Derby, he will be fine! 😉
Joking, my bets are already on Josh Smith and/or Andrew Kitchen
for one or both of them. It’s inevitable.
