Chris Kavanagh - Liverpool vs Arsenal

Chris Kavanagh has an earpiece camera on today! Nice to see that
again. We saw a whole documentary with Jarred Gillett and an
earpiece camera included, but I think this is simply just for
RefCam.

Dire football so far - sideways, backwards, a bit forwards,
turnover
Kavanagh probably been the best person on the pitch so far. Only
question is maybe a yellow card for Zubimendi after hacking down
Gakpo

Utter dross in the first half at Anfield, one person who’ll be
delighted though will be Howard Webb. A day so far free of VAR
calamities!

Thought all this pushing and shoving and shirt holding in the
penalty area at corners was going to be clamped down on

Well, our best official has done his best here to keep things
going and flowing. Barely a decision wrong, and glad to see the
yellow card for Gravenberch for a cynical trip (unlike Semenyo
yesterday).
Every set piece for Arsenal is taking an average of 45 seconds
to take, game in game out for a few years now we seem to see
this. Probably needs the officials to get together and actually
analyse?
Drab game, like so many so far this season.

I thought he was really good today - calm, composed and
accurate. Just what was needed after a controversial day
yesterday.

After the shambles yesterday, Kavanagh has been superb this
afternoon, and nothing for VAR to get its knickers in a twist
with.

Likewise, correct free kick award for the brilliant Liverpool
goal, a goal not belonging in a turgid, dull and virtually
unwatchable contest between 2 supposed top teams.
Eze fell over when he should have hit the ball when through,
bizarre choice of play. Am glad Kavanagh didn’t cave in.
Likewise when Salah fell easily on the counter towards the end,
knowing full well what he was doing.
Pretty good game management, barring the lack of notice for
Arsenal’s time wasting on set pieces (but that’s something all
officials need to take note of tbh). Pretty much faultless from
our only consistently reliable official.
