R JONES - Chelsea v Fulham

How on earth is that a careless challenge by Muniz on
Chalobah???
Where on earth is Muniz meant to place his foot after rolling
away from him?
That is a dreadful decision and a shocking VAR intervention.
Salisbury should never get involved.

I think that’s a harsh decision to rule out King’s goal for
Fulham. Clear and obvious error? Not for me

Is it just me or is that intervention from Salisbury diabolical.
How on Earth is that given as a foul - disallowed for careless
challenge when the Fulham player isn’t challenging, but is in
possession of the ball. Poor from Salisbury, poor from Jones to
not look at the screen and stick with his original decision.
Very, very poor for me.

Agreed. Baffling.
Perfect opportunity for Jones to be strong there and stick with
his guns.

As a fulham fan I’m absolutely seething at that decision.
Appalling is an understatement.

I’ve got to say, when I was watching Jones at the monitor, I
genuinely thought he was going to stick with his decision
because he did not look convinced. Salisbury has obviously
talked him into that in my opinion.

I think it would have been harsh for Rob Jones to give it as a
foul on the field.
For VAR to feel that met the threshold to overturn the decision
is frankly astonishing imo.

The first Howard Webb show will definitely need lengthening in
broadcast time after the first few weeks of the season… far too
much incompetence and dreadful decisions being made this season,
and Fulham will be featuring heavily!

I usually rate Rob Jones as a good official but he has been
appalling in the first half.
Far too inconsistent with his decisions and the icing on the
cake was the disallowed goal.
Missed a clear foul on Sessegnon by Estevao on half way.
As for VAR, I think the opinions expressed above are more than
sufficient comment thus far.
