For the United penalty, I think the Shaw incident is relevant.
If that happened first, then free kick to Fulham. If it didn't,
then in my view the penalty was justified. Do we know if VAR
considered both incidents?
As for the United goal, having seen the push by Yaro, I admit as
a United fan I'd have been disappointed if that goal had counted
against us.
As mentioned, I missed Ref Watch, but it's interesting if Dale
Johnson agreed with the decisions

According to the sky commentary var ruled the shaw manhandling
irrelevant as the bassey manhandling happened slightly before
the shaw foul, hence penalty.

Dale Johnson and DG did hear the VAR commentary. The Shaw
incident happened later and iirc DG actually questioned whether
the Shaw challenge was indeed a penalty. As I have hinted at, if
2 respected sources confirm the decisions then we have to accept
them. Pushing and holding will be the bugbear of the game for
the next season with consistency being called into doubt. I am
not looking forward to it in that respect.

I’m surprised with the view that there was only “possibly” a
push on the defending Fulham player for the Manchester United
goal.
I’m sure that we all agree we want to see an end to the penalty
area shenanigans for set pieces, but the arbitrary decisions
made yesterday won’t be the way forward.

In total agreement here.
It certainly needs to be made pretty clear to all what is and
isn’t allowed in the box.
The problem is VAR coming in for similar offences but reaching a
completely different conclusion.
