       Good job so far.
Could have given a couple yellows early but just a warning which
       I was happy with

I agree , Hooper at his best so far he’s let the game flow and
       been consistent

For me it was a masterclass by Hooper and his team let the game
flow carded when he needed to kept a lid on it and was always in
control from the first whistle to the last

Good performance by Hooper in what was a big game for him.
In the first half, he was quite (even, too?) lenient with some
potentially reckless fouls, but he managed them in a consistent
       and understandable way.
It seemed he tired little a bit in the second half, as he missed
a small handful of clear fouls (and booking for Maguire at 81'),
       but nothing too major.
He was in full control of procedings for the duration of the
       game.
Overall, I think Hooper is a much stronger referee than a number
of FIFA officials in the Premier League and his aim for this
season (despite Elleray's well-known pov about giving it to
non-FIFAs) should be the FA Cup final appointment - an acolade
he would much deserve in my view.

       Agree Mikael.
A cup final should be his target and start of season prediction
would be for him to get carabao final.
Excellent job done in what was a big game today

Agree excellent start to the season for Hooper well managed
throughout which contributed to a enjoyable game for the
       neutral.

Elleray said this, yet as FA Chair appointed a number of
non-FIFA refs the Cup final, such as Moss, Foy and Wiley. Always
a bit hypocritical, as Elleray himself was more than happy to be
given big games as non-FIFA, such as FA Cup semis and a league
cup final, in which he failed to give Birmingham a blatant KMI
       penalty …

Misses a penalty for Manchester United for me and should be
       picked up by VAR.

Outstanding performance from probably the most underrated
referee on SG1 - decision making was consistent and of the
highest order, was busy without being over bearing and pitched
his involvement level perfectly - made a potentially tricky
opening game look a breeze - very well done indeed - shows you
don’t need to be 6ft tall, have a single digit body fat and be
able to run a marathon in under 3 hours to be a top class
       referee
