Robert Jones Sunderland v West Ham....and the assistants as

Nothing to see here.
Just about as complete a performance as you would ever wish to
see from a Premier League team of officials.
I am biased of course as a Sunderland supporter but every
decision looked too be spot on with the game allowed to flow and
from my seat I could see good interaction with the players of
both sides when anything of note did occur.
Good to see the eight second rule applied to both goalkeepers as
well.

Couldn’t agree more - a very steady start to the season for
Jones. He’ll be pleased and can push on to have an excellent
season domestically. No doubt he’ll have more challenging games,
but a cup final could well head his way this year!

Rob Jones was excellent yesterday, gives a game the chance to
flow. Seven minutes added in second half without any significant
stoppages, are we seeing an early season focus on additional
time?

In fairness there was a three minute delay whilst Jensen Seelt
was treated for injury before he was eventually subbed.
