If he’s already stopped the ball from going through in a
direction that makes it a GSO, then that could explain the
decision made. The ‘secondary’ handball is NOT the original
played through ball. Remember the VAR can only intervene at that
point if he thinks it’s a red card.

He was also in a wheelchair....so does that make it worse.
First (and only) game of the season

Racial abuse has been reported

As a completely biased rose tint wearing AFCB supporter, we got
away with one! Senesi should have been off. Bounce up was fine
but clearly moves his hand towards the ball afterwards. Trying
to pat it away. I can’t see from my position if he actually
touched it or not but even the motion of trying to do it was
dreadful enough.

Not a good first half, the missed handball was awful,
inexcusable from Oliver.
Also a couple of 2 second advantages that most certainly were of
no advantage whatsoever!
At least the situation with Semenyo seems to have been reported
in an orderly and efficient fashion, hope whoever it was got
thrown out and given a good hiding.

Oliver seems to be wishy washy on VAR seems to make mistakes
when he’s on VAR stretching back to last season but hopefully
it’s just a bit of rustiness just like with the players

Apparently according to Sky a PGMOL statement says VAR accepted
it was handball but not a DOGSO so no reason to intervene.
Carragher saying that he never heard this discussion on their
VAR feed and thinks they fudged an excuse to explain the
mistake/inaction. DOGSO on the halfway line is always debatable

In that case I guess this is guaranteed to feature on Mr. Webb's
first VAR review of the season, if not released even sooner. If
they haven't articulated what the PGMOL have offered as an
explanation, as Mr. Carragher is suggesting, but rather the
PGMOL are inferring from the lack of action, I think releasing
such a statement is at best very very unwise. But I'd reserve
judgement until we hear the audio, pundits (shock!) have been
wrong before!

Looks like the protocol was followed to perfection and credit
for that.
Have been sent a video which appears to be the individual being
escorted out by half of Merseyside police. Hopefully in
handcuffs and will be up in front of the magistrates on Monday!
I’d enjoy them anyway but have rather over celebrated Antoines
goals. They tasted very sweet!! 90+3 min winner for his hattrick
please and thank you 🙏

I hope they lock him up and throw away the key. Odious behaviour
from a nasty, contemptuous individual.
I would use stronger words but they’d be moderated out, but I
trust our esteemed contributors would understand my feelings on
this.
