A TAYLOR - Liverpool v Bournemouth

First bit of controversy already…potential handball which could
have easily been called a DOGSO handball and a red card against
Senesi.
Unfathomable how that was missed!

Has Oliver just quickly reviewed the potential handball and
missed the much more serious second contact which cant be seen
as anything but deliberate. The deflection is clear on other
camera angles. Definitely DOGSO if they give the handball

For FIFA officials that’s a big big miss. Clearly handball and
DOGSO. Disaster from VAR

Fifteen minutes in and first potential VAR controversy?
Initial contact with the arm definitely not a handball, but the
second grab towards the ball was definitely handball. Assuming
Carragher has relayed the conversation accurately, it looks like
the officials have missed the second grab for the ball.
The wider question, was it DOGSO? On the halfway line, yes, but
was that mitigation enough to avoid a red card given the
situation which would have clearly led to an opportunity for
Liverpool. I don’t think so.
In my opinion, error number 1 of the 2025/26 season for VAR has
already been!

I think its handball, comes off his thigh but he makes a
movement towards the ball, deliberate movement for me. Dont
think Taylor can see it. VAR should be intervening.

wow what is Oliver thinking, as he just not seen the 2nd contact
with the ball which definitely was deliberate.
Whether Taylor would have determined it was a DOGSO, he should
have been given the decision to make

We sometimes talk about how top players and top managers are so
inspirational to the younger generation and to the future of the
game and how actions from top pros can filter down to
grassroots.
But Arne Slot telling Hugo Ekitike to dive under a bit of
contact is, quite frankly, disgusting.
You can be frustrated by a decision but crack on with the game.
Telling your players to con the referee is not on.

Clear Handball for me. The first contact with the arm wouldn't
be a handball due to the deflection up off the thigh which ties
in with what Carragher os saying the VAR has said, but the
second touch, for me, is a different phase of the play. A clear
deliberate motion towards the ball with contact clearly made. No
other option than DOGSO

Oliver has cleared it far too quickly and has missed the second
(deliberate) movement. Pretty inexcusable

I think a fan has said something to Semenyo whilst he was taking
a throw in which has caused this delay. I sincerely hope it’s
not anything nasty.
If true, I hope that the cretinous low life who said something
is banned from every ground for life, and briskly escorted in
silver chains to the cop shop. Despicable.
