       Whilst I agree it isn't that likely, it did happen at Millwall a
       few years ago where the L5 referee taken from the crowd to be
       4th official pretty quickly ended up on the line after a second
       of the original match officials pulled a muscle.

       It happened at Portsmouth two years ago. A Pompey fan ran the
       line for the last half an hour after both managers agreed. A few
       years earlier a cup game at Accrington had just one AR for the
       second half
