First red for Pacho is SFP every single day of the week. To
suggest otherwise is disingenuous. If the second red for
Hernandez was given on-field I can understand why, although
watching replays I don't think it's a red.

I thought he was excellent and far from a ‘black & white
referee’. Good authority and acceptance from players. Let the
right things go, including a few borderline possible cautions
which were well handled using experience and rapport with
players - first YC wasn’t until 60+ mins which is hardly a
robotic referee in such a game. Lots of excellent, confident
advantages. First RC is crystal clear and second is only clear
from angle Taylor had - clear intention from player and fact he
only just caught him in the end is irrelevant. He gave it
confidently rather than cop out with a YC which VAR could
upgrade, if needed. The speed of the VAR check shows it was
clear. The PK in the end was wrong - but understandable - and
seemed like a call from AR1.

I thought they were both reds. The first he has caught him very
high up the leg with a straight leg, nowhere near the ball, it
is clear SFP.
For the second Hernandez knew exactly what he was doing, he knew
the opponent was along side him and brought his elbow back into
his face. It wasn't part of his running motion, he was annoyed
and smashed him, incredibly stupidly given Anthony Taylor was
looking straight at it.

home"
I am not criticising the words of the poster here because they
are quite widely used; but in what other sport do we ask the
match officials to do this? Their job is to enforce the laws of
the game. The reason that - in football - they are seen more as
pilots in a harbour as opposed to arbiters of the laws is
because their paymasters require it. Therein lies the
underlying problem.

I would say the defender moved his arm away from his body and it
stopped the ball from going through the gap between the
defenders potentially to the attacker running in from the far
side. I'm surprised that a (non UK) European referee hasn't
given that one on the basis of what we regularly see in European
competitions.
As I've said before - nobody knows what is and what isn't
handball these days.

Disagree, his arm was moving towards his body and by the time
the ball hit it it was right by his side, there's no way on
earth that can be a penalty. Pretty sure the referee couldn't
have seen it and rather an AR was in his ear, but it was a very
bad call whoever made it and VAR corrected a clear mistake.
