Hi aaa:
Is this a confirmed list? Just asking as there are ? at each
subheading.
Also, are these those leaving/being realigned from the talent
pathway? Would promotions (e.g. Kitchen/Webb) be announced
separately, or are we not seeing any promotions this season to
SG1?

There is no list. These groupings were based on an extensive
research.

Well I definitely can confirm that Tom Kirk has been promoted to
SG2 as he messaged me personally yesterday morning

What was Lewis Smith aligned to last season given that he seemed
to be refereeing predominently Premier League and Championship
matches?

Now PGMOL have confirmed on social media (Scott, Eaton,
Eltringham, Davies) I wonder if promotion confirmation will
follow

Once upon a time......there was a National List of referees. A
few got the added promotion of being FIFA referees. Everything
was simple and straightforward.
Now we have SG1, SG2, a merged list of those in the EFL and
below, Assigned Category, Development Category and probably a
whole host of other Categories as well plus VAR specialists. The
only reasonable way to understand who is where, is to monitor
the appointments they receive.
I know this sounds like a grumpy old man moaning but I simply
ask, has all this had the effect of producing much better
referees ? I leave the question in the air.
