VAR

I am personally not a fan of VAR but I understand that is now an
important part of the game at the highest level.
I would like to see it go but I know that is not going to happen
just yet.
I have an idea which I think would be very interesting and good
to watch.
I ask the Premier League to donate 1 weekend of fixtures ne t
season without VAR. I think it would help reassure people that
the best officials are at the top deservedly. It will sort the
men out from the boys.
Thoughts?

I would agree with your first two sentences but there would be
no feasible way to carry out your idea (with all due respect).
If there’s a big KMI that is missed or incorrectly given and
then there’s no VAR to intervene then there would be a massive
fallout.
However, I would also have to agree that England’s best
officials are deservedly in the top bracket of English football.

It could affect the integrity of the competition. Can you
imagine if Liverpool played Man City in week 5 when VAR was in
use, Liverpool scored a goal but VAR ruled it out correctly for
offside. In the return fixture in week 23 Man City scored a
goal against Liverpool but even though it was offside the goal
was allowed because there was no VAR, they would be absolute
outrage.
