Mo Salah - Red Card?

Ok, can anyone please explain why that awful studs up Challenge
by Salah was not punished, even with the benefit of VAR? Makes a
mockery of the thing when players get away with potential leg
breaking challenges like that.What were the VAR team watching?
Salah by rights should not be playing in the next match but once
again he gets away with it. And that ref and his team should
play no further part either for a total derilication of duty.

Yes, it should have been a red card. Also thought TAA was
fortunate, in a European match, not be penalised for handball in
the first half.

Along with Fernandinho and his deliberate elbow on Kane. They
would both have been more than 1 match bans as they would have
been straight RCs.

For whatever reason, there seems to be a disparity between VAR
intervention for red cards compared to penalties, at least at
international level.
Of course there were only 4 red cards shown during the whole
World Cup last year and none involved a VAR review (and none
were for SFP/VC - two were involving denial and the other two
were second yellows.)
I certainly think there were red cards missed at the World Cup
)Pique's challenge, Argentina V Croatia and Colombia V England
being obvious examples) and again that seems to have carried on
in the Champions League.

Usual garbage from Lahoz. As mentioned many times, how Lahoz is
in the elite group is astonishing.

I too share your sentiments. Ruled out a perfectly good goal in
the City - Liverpool QF which given the timing, would have had
potentially huge ramifications on the second half and full time
scoreline.
