Title decider tonight

Hi all,
Tonight I’ve got an u15s title decider (I’m still u18 myself)
with ARs. I’ve had ARs before so I know what to say for the pre
match talk. Is there anything extra I could say for this match?
Both these teams don’t really like one another. And any tips for
the game etc.

I would be more tempted to stress to the 2 teams of little
darlings that any poor behaviour will be swiftly and
appropriately dealt with. Full stop.

I can’t say that I’ve had many experiences like that that would
help you tonight but I do hope the game runs smoothly for you.

Hey mate - had a u15s final myself a few weeks ago. Firstly wish
you all the best and hope it goes well. Are they neutral ARs or
club ones?
Be vocal and hot on language early doors - remind them they're
here to play a game of football and you'll only get involved if
you need to.

Just turn up and referee it how you have refereed throughout the
season. There's obviously a reason why you have been chosen to
referee it. I personally wouldn't go in and make any
threats/promises on what you will and won't deal with, as you
put yourself in a potentially awkward situation.
If tensions are high as you mention they could be, be on top of
it for the first 10 mins or so. If the teams want to get on with
it, try and let a little bit more flow fro,m then onwards. If
they want to kick hell out of each other, then reel it back in.

Neutral ARs - both I’ve worked with on several occasions.

From my limited experience of youth football, your main issue
may come from the watching parents, they will tend to wind up
there little darlings more so than the coach.

Be aware of the occasion but don’t treat it too differently to
any other game. You’ve clearly been doing well to be appointed
