Controlled tackle all of the ball, if we're outlawing that then
its just interceptions and the ball going out of play to change
possession.
There was a moment when paddy roberts skinned 3 defenders and
was brought down with the assistant flagging (who was 10 yards
away with the perfect view) that was waved away, should have
been a yellow for whatever defender, probably the only
questionable moment for me.
Ps I love var, never said anything bad about it ever

Disagree. Local police will not want long hours of alcohol
consumption beofre such an occassion. This will be Saturday (or
Sunday?) 12.45pm, for sure.

Kav was absolutely superb today. Love seeing him show what he is
capable of. Well done Kav & team, of course. They repaid the
faith shown in them being given the appointment by officiating
the match to as close to perfection as you will ever get as a
match official.
When Mackem Ref comes down from cloud 9 it's going to hit him
that he gets stuck with the Missy bmb coffee bill twice next
season! Welcome to the PL, best get saving now!

I imagine it will vary week to week. If we maintain our current
strike rate with it i will love it though.
Once again like I said against coventry after my original post
when the biggest complaint is that a free kick or 2 was missed
in the entire game its a pretty great performance

Yeah it will probably be 12.30 on tnt maybe - I have no clue why

Of course this will be seen to be a somewhat biased view
bearing in mind I am a Sunderland supporter but I thought Chris
Kavanagh respected the occasion and made the game about the
players.
Having watched it back this morning [ after not arriving home
until after 0200 ] what I saw was a performance where the game
was managed superbly well and respect was reciprocated by the
players.
this point may sound immaterial but never having seen my side
win a game of such magnitude I was really pleased to see the
team of officials remain on the pitch and applaud my side when
they received their medals and trophy.
