That narrows down the teams Michael Oliver can referee by one
for next season with Sunderland going up.

Excellent performance from Kavanagh, justifying his appointment
to the richest game in football.
He let the game flow, the contact level allowed was at a good
level. Yellow cards were all nailed on. Nice and clear on the
announcement too (with the VAR intervention being correct).
Massive congratulations to the Black Cats who performed
exceptionally in the last 30 minutes to get the win. I look
forward to watching them in the prem again, especially those
Tyne and Wear derbies 🔥.

Outstanding display from imo the best referee in the country
atm. That is EXACTLY how the game of football should be

No chance, they will be midday kick offs on police orders. When
Newcastle played there in the cup recently their fans weren't
allowed to make their own way to the Stadium of Light, they
could only attend if they travelled on approved transport
starting in Newcastle. My mate lives less than a mile from the
ground yet had the get the train to Newcastle to get shipped
straight back again.

Any thoughts on the tackle on Brereton Diaz that injured him.
Watson got the ball but I wondered if it was a booking as a bit
reckless??

From the stands, looked like a fantastic game from team ref.
Still stand by my comments on stadium announcements - maybe good
on telly,‘couldn’t hear a word in the stadium itself. As for my
team…wow, wow, wow! Still not sure I believe the result!

Certainly a challenge that wouldn’t have looked out of place
20/30 years ago! The way the modern game has changed, Hume was
probably quite fortunate not to receive a booking for a reckless
challenge. A challenge where players realise you can cleanly win
the ball but take a bit of the man too. Personally, I have
nothing wrong with the challenge.

Outstanding performance from all involved on team ref today.
Super performance from Mr K van ah.
Wearing black set the tone.
Well done to Kav for his announcement to the world as why
offside was given when Burrows found the net with his shot.
Wording of the reason on the big screens would help too, i
assume this was done at the time.
