Wishing Chris and team a great afternoon and most importantly to
put on an excellent display of officiating.

VAR coming in for the second Sheff U goal. I think it should be
       disallowed for offside.
Handled the announcement well and confidently!

Kav and team great first half. If PGMOL think in stadium
announcements improve var communication, they are very sadly
       misguided!

Could you hear any of what he said? I remember I didn’t hear Sam
Barrott at Dean Court earlier in the season and that’s a lot
       quieter than Wembley

I have to respectfully disagree with our distinguished
administrator on a slight variable to the point made.
I think the in the stadium announcement will work, particularly
if VAR is getting involved in a decision that doesn’t look that
visible to the crowd, like an obscure foul or holding etc etc.
I do agree however that if it’s a clear and routine offside
offence, that it will probably have been spotted by the crowd
and doesn’t require any audio intervention.

Could hear him loud and clear. Although difficult to hear the
second half of his explanation as the Sunderland fans were
       already cheering!

The stadium announcer today is Kris Temple, who started out life
commentating on AFCB games for radio Solent. Absolutely lovely
guy. Very pro ref, always explains the LOTG correctly, keeps up
to date with changes etc. Loved hearing him announce the teams
earlier and he got Kavanagh right!

Congratulations to Sunderland. Looking forward to welcoming them
       to the Cottage next season.
Northumbria Police and Northern Rail however are thinking… Oh
       goody!

Can’t wait for Newcastle v Sunderland!! Can guarantee that one
of them will be on a Sunday 4:30 kick off!
And well done to Kav and team who I thought handled the occasion
       perfectly!
