2 excellent red card decisions from Tom this evening, been a
really good showing and justifying his good appointments
recently

I think Tom Bramall will and should be a regular next season.
Very underrated in my opinion.

Huge credit to Tom Bramall tonight for, in my opinion, correctly
identifying two red cards on field without the use of VAR.
Firstly, a DOGSO offence committed by Kovacic on Evanilson. I
think Evanilson will get a clear chance at goal. Dias may have
got round to pressure but in my opinion I don’t think he
would’ve stopped Evanilson getting a clear shot at goal.
Secondly, an act of SFP (surprisingly) which is also correct as
in Cook’s follow through he catches Gonzalez on the shin with
impact from the studs as well. Correctly given on field.
VAR correctly not intervening but as I said huge credit to
Bramall because I think many other referees would’ve gone for
the ‘safe option’ of issuing yellow cards.

Not a referee I have noticed tbh. After tonight I will. In a way
I was surprised to see the reds given since it does appear
difficult to get reds these days! Both spot on, no hesitation,
no need for VAR to get involved, and for Cook, a serial offender
by all accounts, the referee was right up with play.

Both correct decisions. I imagine Bramall will get more regular
appointments in the PL next season compared to this one.

Thought Bramall was excellent tonight. Would have gone
completely unnoticed bar the 2 correct red card calls, well that
and zipping around the pitch looking like a glow fly... He can
go home with his head held high after that performance. I'd like
to see him more regularly in the PL.
My only slightly negative comment was he played an advantage
after a foul on Smudge, yet Man City had the ball so there was
no advantage not that it would have made any difference.
2 superb goals (1 & 3) and Jebbo actually found the back of the
net! Still in shock from that one. Outplayed in every way. One
of those games where it's a reminder of how much we have over
achieved under Iraola. A few of our players need to take a look
in the mirror and then read up on professionalism as they were
not just on the beach already but snoozing in their deckchairs.
De Bruyne - what a player. Wishing him well for whatever comes
next, even as an opposition fan it's been a privilege to watch
him.

Excellent display from Bramall.
Identified two correct red card offences and sanctioned
accordingly without var having to intervene, one even for SFP.
Went about his business in a quiet authorative manner.
After such a superb performance which wont have gone down well
with his superiors, especially issuing two red cards, he will no
doubt spend most of next season on board duty or in the
championship.
A mention for Derek Eaton too who is to retire at the end of the
season at the ripe old age of 61 apparently. A very good long
career well done sir.

I've been quietly impressed by Tom Bramall this season, think he
is really developing and will go on to be far more regular and
potentially become one of the top officials. He's only 35 so
has the potential for a long EPL career. Both red cards spot
on, given very quickly, and he got everything else correct.

He was impeccable when I saw him live at Fulham when we beat
Forest in February.
Hopefully next season he will be one of the go to officials for
the big games that are played.
