Thus far I think Stuarts been fine in what's been a challenging
game. Nunn has been very poor and I'd say the same for VAR. Dan
Robathan too i'll say has been perfect on the far line he
shouldn't be forgotten!

It was a clear and obvious error by the on field officials not
to see the handball outside the area. It is subjective as to
whether it was a yellow or red card. Since the on-field
officials presumably didn’t see the handball they couldn’t have
decided what penalty should have been imposed and VAR should
have given them the opportunity to decide whether it was a red
card. At that point all options are available and a free kick
and yellow card could have been awarded if the referee didn’t
think it deserved a red card.

It is clear and obvious that the defender was making a tackle
for the ball and indeed got a touch in the ball before there was
any contact on Silva. I cannot see how it can be a penalty?
Henderson should have been sent off.

Don't support either side but Attwell is a really poor ref, has
no authority, has no control and just ends up dishing out loads
of yellow cards.
Lucky to be a PL referee and very lucky to be even near an FA
Cup Final because its his "turn"

No, VAR should not. That is not how it works.

Of course it is, we regularly see var not intervene on
subjective decisions. But where the referee has not clearly
seen the incident then he should be asked to take another look.
There have been other incidents recently where the referee has
been asked to review a decision and has produced a yellow card.

For me a typical Attwell performance, some very good bits, some
not so.
Ar1 Nunn seemed to have a nightmare period, he should have seen
the handball outside the area by Henderson but if he was unsure
of course he cant guess.
I think due to the delayed decision for the penalty awarded that
ar1 had a big input.
He ought to have seen the touch Mitchell got on the ball,
however i will say that doesnt nullify a penalty being awarded
if the follow through caught the opponent.
He ought to have seen Sarr in an offside position touch the ball
in the build up the the disallowed goal put in by Munoz, body
movement from ar1 suggests he didnt.
Var operators for me made two errors.
Firstly the direction the ball went after Henderson handled it
is a big red herring.
Haaland was through going towards goal and had the goalkeeper
not been there or challenging him at the time he would have had
the opportunity to take a shot in my opinion. As he would have
had the chance to take a shot Hendersons intervention by
definition denied that opportunity for Haaland, therefore
Henderson should have been red carded.( ironically Henderson was
probably the difference between the two sides ).
Secondly my opinion but i can ustand why the var didnt
intervene, Mitchell played the ball for the penalty award and i
dont think he played Silva more the other way around. I can see
why var didnt deem it clear and obvious error.
The offside decision against Sarr when Munoz put the ball in the
net, correct and just what var is there for.
Congratutions to Palace a very good win for them and its nice to
see things shared around. I can fully ustand the grievances of
City with reference to the incident with the goalkeeper and we
will never know the outcome had he seen red. They can only blame
themselves though for not converting chances to goals incl the
penalty.
Very much a mixed bag from team ref today.

I didn’t think VAR could get involved if the issue was outside
the area and the Referee hadn’t given a decision
