The only contact is well after the dive is initiated, if we are
saying a player pretty much being on his knees before any
contact is not a clear and obvious error then we have no need
for var

Not so long ago when Dias got a touch on the ball it was widely
claimed that it was irrelevant as he didn’t gain possession -
what has changed?

The non red card for the goalkeeper handball is really baffling
for me, I fail to see how it isn’t an obvious goalscoring
opportunity for Haaland. Smacks of not wanting to “ruin” the
final with an early red card rather than making the correct
decision.

Don't focus on the ball focus on Silva when the contact is made,
he has done and stole a penalty, it should have been overturned
and silva booked

It comes down to me about what’s clear and obvious? There is
contact for the penalty and Attwell gives it. For VAR to get
involved in that situation it’s not clear and obviously wrong.
Henderson very lucky for me. Handball

Henderson is lucky. Handling outside the box like that is
cynical and deserves a red. However the LOTG have to be applied.
The AR referee should have spotted the offence, Atwell then
should have blown up and awarded a free kick and then decide the
card. SPA or DOGSO. VAR can only adjudicate on DOGSO and since
they said no to that, play continues with no free kick.
Initially I thought it wasn't DOGSO as Haarland was moving away
from goal (or would have to move the ball to the side of the
keeper) but the sideways view is disturbing. The keeper fists
the ball off Haarland's foot just as he was in a possible
position to lob the keeper, a clear shot at goal. Only Haarland
will know what he intended to do but Henderson was very, very
lucky. IMHO, after several viewings, it isn't DOGSO with a huge
benefit of doubt.
As for the penalty, once given it was unlikely to be overturned.
It was a careless challenge and got what it deserved. The
defender forced the officials to make a decision and cannot
complain if he doesn't get the answer he liked.

Two KMI’s - both incorrect - whether they are tough decisions,
whether VAR should have “helped” should make no difference - for
the showpiece event of the season thats really really poor and
disappointing from the referee
I did post my concerns about the appointment in a previous
thread - not good all round for PGMO and the FA

It lacks control. And the touch that Haaland barely gets on it
clearly would have taken him to the right of the goalkeeper.
Yes, the goalkeeper slaps the ball away, but there is very
clearly some doubt that it satisfies enough of the conditions
for DOGSO.

Nunns having a terrible day, missed the handball which he
should've been in line with, had the best view of the "penalty"
and now misses a clear offside for Palace 2nd goal which VAR has
to rule out.

Not exactly the best performance by Adam Nunn today.
