I predicted Taylor for NOT vs CHE - top referee for the biggest
game!!
Predicted Tom Bramall for our last home game vs WHU. Would love
to see Donohue but it isn’t looking likely.
Interesting that Donohue had 2 PL games at the end of last
season but has had none this, only 4th or VAR. What chance the
same happening to Kitchen and Webb I wonder?

I think numbers wise there has to be a couple being promoted.
Coote and possibly Tierney & Scott all coming off.

Would be nice for a retiring referee (if there is any) to be
given the Liverpool-Palace game

No chance of Oliver being anywhere near the final decisive
matches at the top end of the table. A low key game for him or a
VAR appointment is likely.
Taylor at Forest will be a lock for me.
A visit to Bournemouth, Ipswich, Tottenham or Wolverhampton is a
good bet for Oliver.
The top matches will attract Taylor, Pawson, Hooper, Madley,
Harrington or Gillett on pres form i would say, as Kavanagh,
Bankes and Brooks are on duty at Wembley the day before ( that
trio might get var duties ).

Think Seb Hutchinson on comms during Man City v Bournemouth has
mentioned this is Derek Eaton's penultimate game. He's retiring
after his final game, which was said to be Liverpool v Crystal
Palace.

And he could have only got that from the match officials
directly. In my limited experience of officiating live TV games
the commentator always made a point of chatting to the match
officials before the game, so I would guess it came from a
discussion then. They would probe for your background, where
you were from, clarify how to pronounce names if needed, and
generally ask for anything interesting.

Not sure they do that part or someone would have pronounced
Kavanagh right by now! The only person who has done so is Jordan
from Radio Solent and that was after I told Kris Temple to get
it right!

They asked me whether to use my short or long first name, and
then asked the referee how to pronounce his surname.
