Newcastle v Chelsea - John Brooks (VAR Darren England)

For me, an excellent intervention from England there. Jackson
looks at the Newcastle man, catches him with the elbow with the
ball nowhere near to be played, about time a malicious challenge
like that was punished with a red card!

Great shout by England that, Jackson takes a look before putting
his elbow into Botman and correct red card for VC

       J BROOKS - Newcastle v Chelsea

I can definitely support the red card for Jackson. No where near
the ball and you can see him look at the Newcastle player and in
my mind it’s a deliberate elbow into the neck/head.

Agree with the red card decision but a question in clarifying
what it actually is because on the screens it was saying
possible SFP but is it not a case of Violent Conduct.

I can also support the intervention and final decision, however
both the graphic and the Match Centre said that the red card was
for serious foul play, shouldn't it really be violent conduct
       since the elbow was deliberate?

Sounds like a similar action to that Of Mings on Scott yday that
went unpunished and didnt even get an intervention by big
       brother.
SFP seems to have become discretionary instead of mandatory
since Webb took over as head of pgmol.

It's a supportable red but with the fact that it's a flip of a
coin whether it's given is it a clear and obvious error?

Seen far worse incidents not punished - Mings yesterday for
       example.
