Not the greatest of debuts for Mr Webb who had to go off after
21 minutes played due to a hit to his eye. Hopefully he recovers
quickly [emoji120]

Ah that’s a real shame. Assuming it is nothing long term, I hope
the PGMOL do the decent thing and give him a game next week.

What a shame - I was buzzing he got a game. If he doesn’t get
another game, I will be very disappointed.

Let’s hope he does get a game towards the end. I wouldn’t have
any grumble if he did our last home game against Man City.

Absolutely gutted for Webb , a long deserved overdue PL debut
finally comes his way and it comes to a premature end like that
the refereeing gods aren’t being kind to him at all hopefully
another PL will beckon

I was at the game. It was a lot more than a hit to the eye, he
was clearly concussed after a collision with Ayew. Leicester
medical staff were very good, was up on his feet but didn’t look
well, was glad to see him walk off but I’m not sure he’ll
remember much of the game.
Phil Sharp took over 4th man duties before Akil Howson was
shipped in for the second half.

Rotten luck for David Webb but I'm sure he'll be given another
chance in the PL

I’m wondering with Lewis Smith and David Webb having a VAR game
today that they are in the queue for the L2 and L1 play off
finals…
I assume the play off finals will have VAR like in previous
years, and the games (or truncated versions of ) today were a
refresh or practice with it.

And then having blown the whistle, just walked off! This just
shows the disrespect for referee's in general. Not just by him I
would add. Only one (Southampton player) went to see if the
referee was ok.
General courtesy in life would think a person who bumped into
another accidently and knocked them over would go and assist and
apologise. Mr Ayew should feel very embarrassed
