Yep. Very frustrating. Looked like one or two players were on
the beach this evening. Some really sloppy passing and lack of
communication.
Three points would have taken us 6 above AFCB and with your run
in being very awkward, it probably knocks you out of contention
for top 8.
A fairly standard run out for someone of the calibre of Oliver,
and probably a game he needed after a few weeks of bad publicity
and some unOliver like performances.

He's a lot smaller than I remembered him to be. He's been 4O at
Dean Court a couple of times recently and I was surprised with
how slender he is. I always had him in my head as being quite
stocky, solid muscle but he's actually very slender. His biceps
are on another level mind!

Silva has had a go at the officials and in particular the 4O who
upset him throughout the game! The lack of a RC is an
understandable complaint given the orange nature of the tackle,
but Robinson really got under his skin. I understand that there
was a communication error regarding multiple substitutions and
Fulham took the wrong player off! They wanted to put him back on
but Robinson refused. As a result Oliver had to go to the touch
line to find out what was going on! Sessesgnon had to stay off.

As a Fulham fan, I genuinely think it was Robinson (33) who
should have departed the scene with Traore going to right wing
and Sessegnon (30) to left back.

I usually think that when I see Robinson. By the way he's 41 not
33.

The issue was that by the time Silva realised there was a
problem Sessegnon had left the pitch and the replacement had
entered, once that happens the substitution is complete and the
person that has left cannot come back on. Silva really needs to
blame his own staff as that is where the problem lies, has
Sessegnon not left the pitch I'm sure Tim Robinson would have
worked with them to correct it but it was out of his hands.

Well I for one was pleased to see Oliver back in better form in
the PL after a number of controversies this season. (Ironically,
his many performances in Europe this season have generally
passed without much comment here or on Law5, apart from an OFR
for a penalty and some debate whether a YC should have been a
straight RC).
On Monday night, he even drew compliments from the commentators
for the advantage leading to Bournemouth's goal and then for the
way he explained the non-penalty to players for the handball
claim. The other penalty claim was interesting because of the
view from 2 different angles. The direction of the ball
suggested the GK got a decent hand to the ball but not so
evident from the other angle. No penalty was certainly
supportable in my view.
I agree the challenge mentioned was in the 'orange' category and
I doubt VAR would have intervened whichever colour card was
shown.
Despite the humour, or any confusion, as to which Robinson
should have departed the scene, if it was the Fulham bench that
got the numbers wrong I sympathise with the 4o Robinson.
A decent game to watch at times and no complaints about the
officials.

Not refereed for a few years now but I thought the laws stated
once the player has gone off and the sub has come onto the pitch
the substitution is complete and therefore cant be undone?
