Orel Grinfeld - England v Latvia

Not seen this particular referee before but I have been quite
impressed by him.
Has a lot of authority, brooks no argument from the players and
his decision making has been pretty sound as well.
England have had two penalty shouts, both correctly rejected and
the second one needed a long VAR check. That one falls into the
“referee’s call” category and there was enough doubt there for
it to stay as no penalty.
Also Jude Bellingham was correctly cautioned for a spiteful
tackle having lost possession.
Good from the Israeli referee so far.

Personally I think he's been bang average, very inconsistent
,fouls not given to both sides , the 2nd penalty call how can it
be anything but a penalty kick? Keeper missed the ball and
clearly impeded bowen . Bellingham should be off the 2nd offence
far worse than the 1st . The challenge just before ht on the
England player was poor but no yellow . He has that air of
alloofness which is not a style I Personally like . Not a bad
display by any means but no better than average in a easy
standard international match .

I agree with you, a very average performance, allows defenders
to get away with anything, but then appears to give fouls for
any challenge made by a forward.
